The right AI visibility tool for e-commerce is one that can show separately where your brand, your products, and your store are recommended, covers the platforms you target, and backs its results with responses you can inspect. The most affordable option, in turn, is determined by the total cost of the plan that meets this need.
For a narrow trial, low-cost tracking may be enough. If you want to monitor competition across several product categories, category separation, source analysis, and platform coverage become more important. If you sell a large number of SKUs, you also need to see how product-level tracking works.
In this guide we evaluate the tools' public plan information alongside examples drawn from Maya's sector indexes. This article is published by Maya, and Maya is included in the comparison. The tools were not put through a performance test under identical conditions; plan information was verified from the providers' official pages.
Which tool should an e-commerce team evaluate?
At the start, it helps to separate four different needs:
| Your need | Option worth considering | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Low-budget tracking with few prompts | OtterlyAI Lite | Whether 15 prompts are enough, and the cost of extra platforms |
| Running ChatGPT-focused brand tracking together with source and page review | Maya Starter | Whether single-platform coverage meets your goal |
| Regular brand analysis across multiple models | Peec AI | Selectable models, plan price, and which e-commerce features the plan includes |
| Custom scope, shopping analysis, and enterprise operations | Profound Enterprise or Maya Enterprise | Need-specific quote, product tracking, and data access |
This list is not a performance ranking. Narrow the shortlist with a demo or pilot using questions from your own product category.
Brand, product, and seller visibility answer different questions
A cosmetics manufacturer, a multi-brand store, and a marketplace seller do not share the same visibility goal.
The manufacturer wants its brand and product to appear among the options. The store tracks whether its own site is recommended for purchase. For a multi-brand retailer, the product it sells appearing can be positive; but if the answer directs the user to a different store, seller visibility remains a separate problem.
For this reason, set up measurement at three levels:
| Level | Example question | Desired result |
|---|---|---|
| Brand | "Which gym bag brands should I look at for daily use?" | The brand appearing among the options |
| Product | "Can you recommend a lightweight backpack with a laptop compartment?" | The relevant model being presented as a suitable option |
| Seller | "Where can I buy [product model] in Turkey?" | The store or sales channel being shown |
These are example measurement questions. Build your real list from customer questions, on-site searches, sales conversations, and your product categories.
During the demo, do not settle for "is there product tracking?" See how different names and model variations of the same product are matched, and whether brand, product, and seller are reported separately.
Why sector data shows a single overall score is not enough
Maya's July 13–19, 2026 Cosmetics Sector Index makes the importance of coverage choice concrete:
| Finding in the index | What it means for the buying decision |
|---|---|
| La Roche-Posay's visibility rate was 12.2% on AI Mode and 2.9% on Perplexity | A result on a single platform may not represent your entire AI visibility. |
| The overall leader was La Roche-Posay, while in the makeup group Maybelline led with 23.4% | You must measure competition in your own category separately. |
| Brand, product, and retailer rankings are presented separately | Do not reduce your e-commerce goal to brand mentions alone. |

This historical measurement is limited to the index's Turkish-language question set and the platforms it covers. The "mention rate" on the page is defined as the share of responses in which the brand is recommended; it is not sales, market share, or visibility across all user queries.
The buying takeaway: do not settle for seeing a tool's total score. In your priority category, you should be able to open up on which platform, in which questions, and against which competitors you are not appearing.
Prices and coverage of AI visibility tools
The information below was verified from official pricing pages on September 20, 2026. Do not confuse monthly prices with annual commitment discounts; verify taxes and additional usage terms at the time of purchase.
| Tool / plan | Public price | Visible core coverage | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maya Starter | $99/month | ChatGPT, one project, unlimited users, source tracking, 1,500 LLM responses per month | A broader plan is needed for multi-platform measurement. |
| Maya Premium | $399/month | Two projects, unlimited users, content and technical optimization features | Verify the number of platforms at the quote stage.* |
| OtterlyAI Lite | $29/month | 15 prompts, daily tracking, four platforms | AI Mode, Gemini, and Claude cost extra. |
| OtterlyAI Standard | $189/month | 100 prompts, daily tracking, the same four core platforms | Needed add-ons increase the total price. |
| Peec AI Starter | Amount not verified at review | 50 prompts, three selectable models, daily tracking, one project | Check the current price and selectable models directly. |
| Profound Enterprise | Custom quote | Customized prompt coverage, daily tracking, up to nine engines | Priced according to monitoring and other usage needs. |

At the time of the check, the Maya Premium card listed four platforms while the comparison table listed two. For this reason no exact number is used in this article.
The starting price may not be the price that covers your entire e-commerce need. Also, a feature announced across the product may not be included in the plan you choose. Verify SKU tracking, country coverage, export, and integrations at the plan level in particular.
How to calculate the real cost
Let us think through two examples.
Scenario A: A small store starting with 15 prompts
You want to start in a single product category with a limited set of prompts. OtterlyAI Lite's monthly fee is $29. When you also add Google AI Mode and Gemini, with the published monthly add-on prices, the calculation is:
29 + 9 + 9 = $47/month
Scenario B: A growing store tracking 100 prompts
For 100-prompt tracking across several categories, OtterlyAI Standard's monthly fee is $189. On this plan the AI Mode and Gemini add-ons are $59 each:
189 + 59 + 59 = $307/month
These are examples calculated from the monthly amounts on the official list, excluding taxes and other additional services. They do not claim equivalent functionality or data quality relative to other tools. OtterlyAI plans and add-ons.
What these examples show is that you should compare price against your own platform and prompt needs.
Add your team's time to the total cost calculation:
Total monthly cost = subscription + add-ons + extra usage + analysis and reporting effort
Calculate the last term from your own team's actual working time. If reviewing responses and deciding what work to do takes hours each week, the subscription difference alone is not a sufficient comparison.
Which e-commerce team should evaluate Maya?
Maya can be shortlisted by teams that want to evaluate visibility tracking together with source, page, and product data reviews. The Starter plan offers a ChatGPT-focused start. For broader scope there are Premium and the custom-priced Enterprise options.
The official plan page lists Feed Optimize tests, page audits, and content optimization on higher plans. The Enterprise scope lists action plans, GSC-based insights, and API access. You should see whether these features meet your need on your own site. Maya plan scope.
To evaluate Maya, come to the demo with:
- A priority product category.
- Three direct competitors.
- Real customer questions that do not contain your brand name.
- A category or product page you want reviewed.
- The decision the team using the data wants to make.
If you only want to track a few prompts on a low budget, a lower entry-price option may be enough. If your real need is to monitor a large number of products at the SKU level, do not accept general brand tracking as sufficient; verify that function separately.
What evidence should you ask for in a tool demo?
Alongside the visibility score, being able to open up the responses that make up the score matters. Within the same response, these four situations should be distinguished:
- The brand's name is mentioned.
- The brand is recommended as a suitable option.
- A source link is given to the brand's site.
- A specific product or store is recommended.
The cited page may have been used only for a definition. The brand's name may appear in a critique. Your store may not be mentioned at all when the product is recommended.
During the demo, review one positive and one negative example together. Ask the provider to answer these questions:
| Question | Evidence you want to see |
|---|---|
| Which responses make up this score? | Dated response texts and the measurement scope |
| Why is my competitor among the options? | The rationale stated in the response and the relevant sources |
| Is my page actually cited? | A specific URL rather than a domain |
| What changed last week? | A comparison over the same question set |
| What work should we do? | A recommendation for a specific page or source, tied to evidence |
The preference rationale stated in a response is not an explanation of the model's entire decision process. Even so, it provides a concrete starting point for examining your product positioning or missing information in your content.
A pilot you can run in the first 30 days
The plan below is an example work structure for teams that want to start with one category.
Week one: Define the scope. Choose one category, one target market, and a small set of prompts. Separate questions that contain the brand name from general selection questions. Record the platforms and frequency to be measured.
Week two: Review the starting state. Separate responses where your brand is recommended, where only competitors are recommended, and where no product is recommended. Verify the most important gap with a few real examples.
Week three: Apply a single intervention. For example, add a genuinely missing piece of usage information to the product page. Record the change, the previous version of the page, and the application date.
Week four: Measure again with the same questions. Evaluate the recommendation rate and the use of the relevant page as a source separately. If the result is ambiguous, keep observing rather than labeling it a failure.
Rather than expecting a definite visibility increase within 30 days, aim for the pilot to answer this question: "Did this tool help our team choose a more concrete piece of work and track its outcome?"
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest AI visibility tool for e-commerce?
Among the monthly entry prices verified in this article, OtterlyAI Lite is the lowest at $29. That does not make it the cheapest tool for the whole market, nor the lowest total cost for every need. Evaluate the prompt limit and add-ons together.
Can I start with ChatGPT tracking only?
Yes, if your goal is to learn where you stand on ChatGPT, a narrow start is fine. Just do not present the result as your visibility across other platforms. Decide when to widen coverage based on your audience and business need.
Is a Turkish interface enough for Turkish-language measurement?
Check these separately during evaluation. Running Turkish-language questions, matching brand and product names correctly, and how the tool handles the target country should all be visible in the demo.
Does higher AI visibility mean more sales?
Visibility measurement alone does not show that. Track referred visits and conversions separately. A brand being recommended more often does not translate into a proportional lift in traffic or revenue.
Does a sector index replace tracking my own brand?
An index helps you understand the general state of the sector and which competitors to examine. It does not fully replace the question set you build for your own products, use cases, and target market.
Start with your own category
First, review the relevant measurements in Maya's sector indexes. Then define your own product category, competitors, and customer questions.
Review Maya's plans and evaluate the option that covers this scope. Let your first goal be to understand which questions you are not appearing in and to choose a single next piece of work whose evidence you can return to.
